Last night, youngest was reaching above his head for something, and knocked a container of lime powder off into his eyes. Lime burns. After flushing it for 15 minutes, and a call to the poison control center, we were off to the ER.
He’s ok, no burns on the eyeball, just a scratch which probably happened when we were cleaning all the matted powder out of the eye.
When asked if he was scared or nervous, his reply?
“There’s nothing the doctors can do to me that my brother’s haven’t already tried.”
Blessing: Youngest’s eyes are ok.

I don’t even know what lime powder is…

You should really keep a tally as to how many times you guys make it to the ER every year.

Jammie- It’s used to keep fleas down in yards, or on animals, we use it to keep the smell down in the chicken coop
Jethro- Last year, I think it was 3 for the kids and 2 with my mom….

Poor guy! At least his brothers have made sure he’s not a wimp.

Friglet- he’s the toughest one of them all.
Jethro- Doesn’t bode well for the rest of the year does it?

Glad it was no worse. Love his comment.
We always have lime around for the horses’ stalls and when planting tomatoes to prevent blossom end rot. It’s hard on your hands. I can’t imagine the horror of getting it in your eyes!
Whew! Will be more careful with how we store it.
