For some reason, I took a little bloggy break. I’m not sure why, just that I didn’t want to blog. Just didn’t have it in me.
Today, well, that’s a different story.
Yesterday was Mine and Stud’s 19th wedding anniversary. He took half the day off, we both got dressed up (as dressed up as we get) and headed out.
Now is where it gets interesting. We planned on seeing a movie, going out to eat, and possibly getting a hotel room for a few hours. Hey, don’t judge, we’ve been married 19 years and have 5 kids living at home. We deserve a few hours alone!
Instead, we got a hotel room, in a nearby city, in a hotel that had just opened last week. We were the first ones to use the room. This hotel has 5 floors of rooms and last night was their busiest night since they opened. They booked 10 rooms last night. WhooHoo. It was nice. Very nice. So worth it.
The funny part comes in when we realized how old we were.
We booked a hotel, went out to eat at Outback Steakhouse, initiated the room, watched American idol, and were lights out by 9:15pm. Woke up around 10:30pm, watched the end of the Carolina Duke game and back to sleep we went.
Yeah, we’re old.
Here we are, no kids, no family members at all, no crisis to deal with, and manage to finish out night off in 4 hours time. Such party animals we are.
It was so worth it though. A night of peace a quiet was worth the price of the hotel room. Not to mention being the first ones to sleep on those sheets!
Oh, I got my anniversary present to myself today! It’s this. And I’ve already used it! Had it oh, about an hour. I’m in big trouble now. lol. I got it for less than $100, AND got free shipping. How good am I?
Blessing: Stud. 19 years and he’s still with me!

Happy Anniversary. Our 10th is this week. Traditionally 10 is supposed to be “tin” but there is nothing nice you can buy that is made out of tin, the modern version has it as Diamond… somehow I think a woman got at that list, traditionally Diamond is 60th, but who want’s to wait half a century longer? For you next year is a biggy “China” traditionally, Platinum for modern (Probably encrusted with diamonds).

I’ll bet I’m happier for you that you got it on than your kids are.
Happy Anniversary…

Happy late anniversary! Sounds like you celebrate it the way we do LOL I’m thinking our 17th in April will follow that same pattern minus the hotel room.
