I was one of those idiots who braved the day after Christmas crowd to return items today. I had two things to return, a Sansa e250 mp3 player that Son2 got for Christmas. It froze. Blank screen, no turning on, off, or anything else, and a Cobra mini military RC helicopter. Wanna guess how my venture went?
I returned the player to Best Buy, where we ordered it from, and they promptly returned the money to my SIL’s debit card. Let’s see, they returned the money to HER debit card, meaning I got no cash, no gift card, no nothing to buy Son2 a replacement with. Okay.
I headed off to the mall to return the heli. My SIL had bought her son, and my youngest one for Christmas at one of those kiosk’s in the mall. Well, youngest’s was broke from the get go. When we took it out, the main rotor blade was warped. Her son’s won’t charge. That’s two for two. I go to the kiosk, and what do I find? The company has packed up and left. NO forwarding address, no nothing. Can you tell I was having a good time?
Sheesh.
But my day wasn’t a total loss, I was able to get a prelit tree for $14.00, to use next year. Seeing as how the cats have destroyed the one we had. We’ve had that thing rigged every which way but right since thanksgiving weekend. Now, we will just take the decorations off and throw the thing to the curb. I’m not messing with that tree again. Nope. Not gonna do it.
In othe rnews, thanks to me being gone all day, my living room is still filled with Christmas presents that I just haven’t made the boys put up. Oldest stayed up all night playing one of his new video games. When I made him to bed at 7:30am, he didn’t even know the sun was up. Lucky him, got called in to work early too. We are talking noon. I laughed. Karma bites sometimes.
How did that tiger in SF get out? I mean, was it super tiger or did it have some help of the human kind?
I’m off to bed. Oldest should be home from work soon, and I’m tuckered out. Son4 had to go to the doctor today, he has a sinus infection/walking pneumonia/bronchitis. We haven’t been sleeping too well because of it. I’m thinking youngest has the WP as well. I’m sitting here listening to him bark his head off as I type.
Did I mention it snowed a bit yesterday? Didn’t lay, but still, we had snow on Christmas. Not quite a white one, but still, it helped the mood.
