People are just nuts

Here’s a question for ya….

Why do people get out in the cold, frigid air, to camp out at the door of Best Buy and other stores to be first in line for the door busters when all you have to do is order them online?  Same price as the door buster, same product, same everything, and most times it’s even free shipping.

The news showed a guy who had been camping out since 11am at Best Buy to get a laptop for $400.  I went online, and low and behold, I could have ordered the SAME thing online, no shipping, and got to stay home all cuddled up warm, watching TV, eating my banana pudding.

It’s the experience, right? The family bonding?

It’s because they don’t know how to use The Internets yet.

My son camped out at BB and got a very sweet HD LCD TV for a deal that was not available on-line. He could have gotten the same TV, but for $500 more. There were only 20 per store, all sold by “ticket”. He got there at 6am and got #18 of 20. I suppose you have to really like TV’s (I don’t) to understand going through the rigamarole (I don’t). But he’s thrilled, so I’m happy for him.
